Dr Giuliana Prato

Dr Giuliana Prato was trained in Sociology at the University of Naples
(Laurea cum laude, 1983) and Social Anthropology at the University of
London (MSc, 1987; PhD 1995).
She has done research in South Italy (Naples,
Caserta, Palermo, Avellino, Brindisi) and England (London): 1981 to the
present.
Her research interests include religious beliefs and practice,
political theory and political change, symbolism, environmentalism,
urban anthropology.
Her current teaching is mainly in political and>economic anthropology. She has published both in Italian and in English.
