These notes are intended to assist researchers to submit material to the APFT databank for publication on the WWW. It is essential to follow the instructions when sending documents.
1. We strongly recommend that all APFT members familiarise themselves with the Website. We realise that some members are in locations where this is not possible. A CD-ROM of the Website is under preparation for distribution to non-networked sites.
2. We do not have the resources to routinely process paper documents. So to guarantee publication on the WWW, material must be in a digital format; i.e. as email attachments or on a floppy disk formatted for either Mac or PC in a common wordprocessor format, HTML (WWW format) or plain text.
3. To be accessible on the WWW, documents have to be converted to Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format. This process constrains the way documents can be presented on the Website; so their appearance may differ from your original.
4. Some document styles and formats easier to convert than others. In particular, please avoid:
6. All documents must be accompanied by the standard catalogue form - fully completed - both as a separate file and on paper. This includes title, date, author(s), institution, language, APFT codes, abstract, public/private status, links to related documents on Databank [if known]. This form with notes will be sent to you separately but is available on our Website.
