This is an example of a simulation

It is based on a unix program that was probably the first Internet-ready anthropology simulation published on CSAC's Social Anthropology Bulletin Board in 1986... based on R. Lee's paper (1969),
!Kung Bushman subsistence. An input-output analysis

The panel to the top-left shows locations of bands and waterholes. The panel to the top-right shows the density of nuts and the status of waterholes. The bottom panel reports the demographic structure of the bands, how much labour was expended and the composition of their diet that week. S is an index that Lee computes to indicate satisfaction, based on diet and labour input.

Well, I suppose you'll have to get Java now, won't you!
