(0)494 21336 Telex 837383SolaPK G). A stock cell made by SPK is the G100, which has larger dimensions (13.1" by 13.7"). A G100 solar cell works out at \z\(sp 70, plus VAT. One is sufficient for the PX-8, or for light use of a Toshiba 1100+ (1 or 2 hours per day). Two should be used for the latter if heavier use is planned. As this is a 12v cell, a variant of the circuit above is necessary to restrict the voltage to 6v. SPK no longer makes a stock 6v cell. Return to main text
